Terms of Use

These terms apply to the DeSlouch mobile app, published by AgemoWare ("we", "us"). By using DeSlouch you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

What DeSlouch is — and isn't

DeSlouch is a posture reminder and habit aid. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, it is not posture-correction therapy, and nothing in the app is medical advice. If you have back or neck pain, or a diagnosed spinal condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional. An app that buzzes when you lean forward is not a substitute for care.

You are responsible for decisions you make about your health and about how you sit.

What it can and cannot detect

DeSlouch infers posture from motion sensors. That inference depends on the phone being held flat against your body, on your calibration being current, and on the sensitivity you have chosen. It will sometimes miss a slouch and will sometimes nudge you when you were fine. Treat it as a helpful prompt, not as a measurement instrument, and please don't rely on it for anything that matters medically.

Use it safely

Don't attach your phone to your body in a way that could hurt you or damage the phone, and don't use DeSlouch while driving, cycling, operating machinery, or doing anything else where a buzz or a tone could distract you at the wrong moment. Keeping the screen on for long sessions uses battery and can warm the device; that is expected, and you can stop a session at any time.

Your data

Everything DeSlouch saves stays on your device. We have no accounts and no servers, which means we cannot access, recover, restore or delete your data for you. Details are in the Privacy Policy.

Price

DeSlouch is free. There are no in-app purchases, no subscription and no advertising. If paid features are ever added, existing functionality will not be taken away to make room for them, and these terms will be updated first.

Acceptable use

Use DeSlouch for your own personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don't reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the app's source code, resell or redistribute the app, or use it in any unlawful way. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app; we keep all other rights, including in the name, logo, design and content.

Availability and changes

We may update, change or discontinue features. We aim to keep the app working well, but we provide it "as is" and cannot guarantee it will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and if you're a consumer you keep all rights your local law gives you.

Age

DeSlouch is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13.

Apple and Google

Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for the app or its content. Where you obtained the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard EULA also applies to the extent it doesn't conflict with these terms, and Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms materially, we'll update the date above and note it in the app's release notes. Continuing to use DeSlouch after a change means you accept the updated terms.
