Privacy Policy for Simple360
This Privacy Policy explains how Simple360 ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Simple360 mobile application (the "App").
Important: Simple360 does not use third-party advertising SDKs, does not sell personal data, and does not use data for cross-app or cross-website tracking.
The App may show the iOS App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission prompt. If permission is denied, we do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
1) Information We Collect
1.1 Content and Device Permissions
- Photo Library access: to browse, open, and process your photos/videos in the App.
- Photo Library add access: to save exported panoramas or edited files back to your library.
- Camera access: to capture panoramas and scan Cardboard viewer QR codes.
Media processing is performed primarily on-device. We do not upload your photo/video content to our own servers as part of normal app operation.
1.2 In-App Purchase Data
We use Apple StoreKit for subscriptions and purchases. We receive purchase status and entitlement information needed to unlock premium features. Payment processing is handled by Apple.
1.3 Analytics and Diagnostics
We may collect app usage analytics and diagnostics to improve reliability and user experience. This can include:
- event names and in-app actions (for example: feature usage, settings changes, purchase flow states),
- app/device technical data (for example: app version, OS version, device model),
- locale/time zone and coarse network metadata (such as IP as processed by analytics infrastructure).
Analytics are used for product improvement, performance monitoring, and feature decisions, not for personalized ads.
1.4 Remote Configuration
The App may fetch remote configuration values (for experiments and feature flags) from Firebase Remote Config. This helps us safely roll out and tune product behavior.
1.5 Optional iCloud Sync of Overrides
If enabled by Apple/iCloud settings on your device, certain lightweight app preferences/overrides may sync via
NSUbiquitousKeyValueStore to your iCloud account to keep behavior consistent across your own devices.
2) Tracking and Advertising
We use Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework to request tracking permission through the standard iOS system prompt. This request is shown to support compliance and potential future advertising features.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs (for example, IronSource, AdMob, Meta Audience Network).
- We do not perform cross-app tracking for advertising purposes.
- We do not use data to track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- If tracking functionality is enabled in a future release, it will only be used after you grant ATT permission.
3) How We Use Information
- to provide core app functionality (viewing/editing/saving media),
- to process purchases and restore entitlements,
- to improve app quality, stability, and UX,
- to measure feature adoption and diagnose issues,
- to support product experiments and safe rollout via remote config.
4) Sharing of Information
We may share limited data with service providers only as needed to operate the App, such as:
- Apple (StoreKit purchases/subscriptions),
- Firebase (remote configuration delivery),
- analytics provider(s) used by the App for product analytics.
We do not share your data with data brokers for resale.
5) Data Retention
We retain data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, and security needs. Retention periods may vary by data type.
6) International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own by our service providers. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
7) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your region, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. You may also request information about how your data is used.
You can manage iOS permissions at any time in iOS Settings (Camera, Photos, etc.).
8) Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age required by local law for independent consent. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.
9) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
10) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date.
